Growing up with my parents owning childcare centres and my mum being an early childhood teacher, educational toys were always my jam.

Even with my very unique upbringing I still struggled to plan and organise the activities for the next day. So while I knew what I wanted to do it just didn't always happen. That's how rolling sounds was created.

A fun, educational learning activity with zero prep and an audio that will guide both you and your child along the way. Just grab your playdough and press play!

What is Rolling Sounds?

It’s a playdough letter roller from 4 Clever Kids, paired with audio-guided games. Your little one rolls letters into playdough, finds a sound, hears a friendly prompt and matches it to a picture. Then you play again in a new way.

How does it help with letter sounds?

Every game mixes five little ways to play: look, listen, say, press and match. Children spot a letter, hear its sound, say it out loud, press it into the dough and find a picture that starts with it. Once they’ve mastered their letters, we move on to blending and reading words.

Do I need to know how to teach phonics?

Not at all. No teaching experience, lesson planning or preparation needed. Our guided audio tells you exactly what to do and say, making it easy to support your child's early literacy journey — even if you're not sure where to start. Just grab the playdough, press play and enjoy learning together!
